2022

Year the endowment began

The effort grew from an initial $10,000 gift into a community-supported memorial endowment.

Reporting note: Figures provided by Atrium Medical Center Foundation on . “Total raised” includes in-kind support and is not the same as cash on hand or the endowment balance. The $35,250 in awarded support is a separate program-impact measure, not an amount to add to funds raised. The July endowment balance is a historical snapshot, not a current balance. The foundation projected that 2026 proceeds would bring the endowment above $100,000, but a final updated balance was not confirmed in this report.

Care in the Air · 2025 initiative

Protecting those who care in the air.

In 2025, Up to the Sky supporters helped sponsor the procurement of an aviation helmet for a CareFlight clinical crew member in Kristin’s memory. Atrium Medical Center Foundation identified the Paraclete Aspida™ Carbon as the helmet model worn by CareFlight clinical crews.

Designed to protect aviation personnel, the lightweight carbon-fiber helmet is a practical way to support the nurses and other medical professionals who provide critical care during emergency flights. It is a fitting tribute to Kristin’s own dedication to nursing.

The helmet sponsorship complemented the foundation’s broader CareFlight campaign to strengthen emergency air medical transport across Southwest Ohio.
