Remembering Kristin

Kristin Renee Cantrell Hill

Born in Hamilton, Ohio, Kristin made her home in Fairfield. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother, and she brought compassion into the world through a career in nursing.

Kristin earned her nursing degree from Ohio University. Her professional work included substance use treatment nursing at Good Samaritan and Bethesda North hospitals in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Shortly after turning 43, Kristin was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She died 17 days later. The sudden loss left an immeasurable space in the lives of those who loved her.

Her family chose to honor the way she lived: by caring for others. What began as a deeply personal remembrance continues through practical assistance for patients and scholarships for aspiring nurses.
